Hi I’m John Snyders and I’m all about designing and building things. I live in the Boston area* with my wonderful wife and two kids. I work as a software developer. I also work with wood and now that I have children I no longer feel silly playing with Lego’s, play dough, Geomag’s etc.

I was born in Toronto, Canada but my family moved to Massachusetts when I was one. I Graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BS in Computer Systems Engineering in 1988 and have been developing software ever since. If you’re interested you can read the long version.

In my spare time I like to play with my kids, inline skate, build Lego MindStorms robots, read about new and interesting things, and visit friends.

Life circumstances have given me the opportunity to start a business developing my own software. In the last year or so I got too involved in management. I was still doing high-level architecture but there was no time for hands on work. Now I’m back to designing and coding and loving it. My current focus is on web application development.

* Currently my family and I are temporarily displaced and living on Cape Cod.
